Legal aid to villagers

The Ukrainian legislation has during the last two decades undergone massive changes. For the ordinary man it is difficult to know once rights and legally protect them.

Keeping track of these changes is a daunting task even for a skilled lawyer. Especially the older generation, who has lived most of their lives in a completely different legal framework, has difficulties understanding the legislation and protecting their rights and property. Many elder people do not know how to formulate and legalize for instance their will of inheritance or lease agreements. The Village Development Fund aims to develop the project, and also accepts proposals on the development assistance provide free legal advice to local residents, and assist them in obtaining documents and agreements, so that they conform to the criteria set out in the legislation. The main tasks in this area for the DV fund is to protect the legal rights of the people living in the villages and see that their basic rights are not violated.
