Football festival on Children’s Day

20 Jun 2022

It was a festival, not a tournament or competition. And the name for the sporting event is not accidental. During the festival, all participants received prizes and awards. Thus, the organizers: The Baryshivska Grain Company Charitable Foundation and The Berezan Community Foundation Charitable Organization realized the main idea – to celebrate the International Children’s Day in an atmosphere of friendship, not rivalry.

  • We, as representatives of socially responsible business, joined this wonderful event both as organizers and as the main sponsors. Today the situation in the country is very difficult, but life goes on, and we want it to be with new inspiration, strength and support of Ukrainians to each other. And I am convinced that together we are moving towards victory.

It was friendship that came first that day. It is no coincidence that two of the four participating teams were called “Druzhba”(Friendship), and the festival itself took place at the stadium of the same name in the city of Berezan in Kyiv region. And interestingly, this friendship did not spoil the sharpness of the game. The young footballers showed skill, which, in some places, was simply amazing. And although prizes – cups, medals and diplomas – all teams received the same, the fight on the field was uncompromising. After all the matches were played, the children addressed warm words of support to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – another feature of this year’s International Children’s Day.

Separately on this day, a master class was held for children and their parents on making original beadwork, which will also be sent to Ukrainian defenders as talismans. At the same time, the organizers of the festival – the Baryshivska Grain Company Charitable Foundation and the Berezan Community Foundation Charitable Organization – announced the start of fundraising for the needs of the Defenders of Ukraine. The results of this campaign will be reported separately.
